# TECH # EXPERIENCE # RAMBLE This section reflects my beliefs and opinions about work. I think it's something important to share, because it may help you as future employer to decide if me and you align with each other. The most important thing, I think, is for technical and non-technical people to listen to and respect each other. If it's not happening, everything becomes unnecessarily difficult and annoying, with higher risk of failure. Proper requirements are essential. My responsibility as a developer, whenever I see unclear or contradictory requirements, is to start asking questions until I get clear reasonable answers. Time and money are always limited. Within given constraints, it is my duty to craft solutions as good as I am capable of. As long as it works and meets the business needs, I can consider my work successful. In the long run, maintainability is important. The code exists not only for machines to run, but also for humans to understand and work on. When the team is too busy shipping features and fixing bugs, they forget about keeping things tidy and easy to understand, the code gets messy and hard to work with, which slows the team down, increases frustration and burnout rate. Managing complexity is one of the most important aspects of software development. A word on AI, or rather. LLMs. They're an impressive tool for quick prototyping and for gathering non-critical information, I give it that. But I don't think it should touch anything complex and long-term, due to its high entropy - and we do not need more entropy than we already have. Curiosity, creativity, cooperation, critical thinking (so many words starting with C...) and willingness to learn new concepts are vital. If we want to do truly great things, this is what should be cultivated. Proper work-life balance is necessary for mental and physical health. Proper dedication at work is important, but overworking is dangerous, and the burnout is no joke. Work, while being significant, is not everything we have. There's family, friends, people to care about and to share life with.
